Why would I ever choose an Indoor Climate Controlled Unit?
If you choose one of our indoor climate-controlled units, you will spend less time packing your belongings for maximum protection. The climate control technology will protect your belongings from mildew and other weather-related damages.
What does 'climate-controlled storage' mean at Appleton Self Storage?
We manage both temperature and humidity via a high quality HVAC system (heating, ventilation and air conditioning), customizable thermostats and heavy-duty insulation to manage temperature and humidity.
What is the risk of storing outdoors in the Wisconsin Climate?
Ask yourself if it is worth the risk to store expensive items such as electronics, instruments, leather/wooden furniture, clothing, artwork, etc. If you do decide to store these items outdoors, please extra careful with how you pack these items to prevent damage from extreme temperatures and moisture.
Why do Climate Controlled Units generally cost more?
This extra cost is worthwhile to ensure temperatures and humidty never rise or fall dramatically enough to damage your goods.
Am I required to store long-term?
There is absolutely no long term commitment required. All leases are month to month and you can choose your own move in date, specific to your needs!
What security features do you offer?
For your peace of mind, security camera surveillance runs 24/7 both indoors and out. Our entire property is well lit with motion sensor lighting indoors. The outdoor RV, boat and vehicle parking area is equiped with perimeter fencing and coded gate entry.
Can I pull my vehicle directly into the Indoor Facility?
Yes! The back overhead door has a 7'5" Clearance! Pull right in and feel free to use our pushcarts and dollies to move your beloingings to your unit.
Can I purchase moving supplies?
Yes! We have a full line of merchandise for all your packing needs.
Do you offer Truck rentals?
Yes! Appleton Self Storage is an Authorized U-Haul Dealer.
